A long time ago in a castle not-so-far away (Medieval Times, to be exact), destiny decided to spice things up and put Nicholas and Samanta under the same roof—but in very different kingdoms. For two years, we were coworkers surrounded by jousts, horses, and cheering crowds. Somewhere between the chaos, sarcasm bloomed—especially when Sam roasted Nick’s questionable haircut… only to find out later (after they started dating) that he’d been bragging about how great it was.
In April of 2017, Nick asked Sam on a classic New York date: a romantic picnic in Central Park. He said “picnic,” but brought... vibes. No food. But Sam didn’t really mind—she was completely distracted by the dogs (so many dogs). After a few more “are-we-or-aren’t-we?” hangouts, Sam finally asked the question: “So... what is this?” Nick, with classic timing, turned the question into the beginning of something official—and in May 2017, we started dating for real.
Our Story
From there, life was a blur of firsts and familiar comforts. Nick introduced Sam to foods she never thought she'd try—and she’s now the kind of person who actually enjoys sushi, slowly turning her into someone adventurous enough to order something without googling it first. And Nick? He learned Spanish at a conversational level just to connect with Sam’s family—so now when they roast him, he gets it. That’s real love.
Our relationship grew through traditions like carving pumpkins, gingerbread house competitions, and game nights with friends that got... aggressively competitive (just kidding... mostly). We found joy in the smallest things—road trips, new restaurants, and feeling like everything has changed.
Sam once joked she’d be a 10-year girlfriend. Nick, determined to change the narrative, planned not one, not two, but three proposals that didn’t quite go according to plan. He even almost got caught sneaking off to visit Sam’s parents without telling her (yes, she noticed). But on October 1st 2024, at 4JGs Vineyard & Winery, everything finally aligned. He asked. Sam joked, “Maybe.” Then said yes. No dogs this time. Just grapes and forever.
And while most of our friends know this love started years ago, few know we shared a small, quiet moment in April 2024 when we made it all legally official. And just when we thought our little family was complete, a tiny four-legged chaos monster named Louie joined the crew, right around our not-so-secret first anniversary—just in time for what felt like the beginning of our wildest dreams.
Now, we're here—bringing it all together in one day, one celebration, with the people who’ve been part of our story all along. Thank you for being part of the chapter where we say I do—with love, laughter, a little “force”(Star Wars Reference for Nick), and a Taylor Swift soundtrack. We can’t wait to celebrate what’s been a long time coming with you.
